A lot of people and family friends kept telling me and my parents, I am a difficult child and won't be very successful.

Actually, it was the other way around, going through a difficult childhood. But here is my story in pointers.

1.) Underwent radiation therapy at the age of 2 because of a boil on my neck. Doctors recommended surgery but could have had complications. Radiation was the only option that my parents chose and doctors said it could affect my neck, my other body parts, and can stop hearing; due to strong radiation for 3 months but I SURVIVED.

2.) Being a topper; 2nd or 3rd rank at the age of 5 when I started school, I started going down the ranks post the age of 8. Academic difficulties

3.) Dad got a transfer from Mumbai to Delhi. Couldn't get along with Delhi kids and used to have almost daily fights in school! I went into depression and became very bad in studies from grade 6 till grade 8th, just about touching the borderline passing percentage. The school principal asked me to leave school due to very low grades. We tried a lot of schools in Delhi to give me admission, but all of them rejected me. Ultimately, I was put into NOS, though in a regular school from grade 9th to grade 10th in (National Open School) between autistic kids, who couldn't walk, speak properly or stammer. It was a shock for me, but I was touched by their humbleness and kindness! Looking at these kids gave me the strength to study with them, become friendly, and help them in whatever I can. I kept a target of passing out from NOS (Grade 10th) with good marks and getting into the mainstream CBSE again! I gave the Grade 10th exams and passed with flying colors. I thanked the faculty, school management, and especially the kids whom I studied with and helped me.

4.) At the same time, health issues hit me hard again at the age of 13, with hormonal deficiency. Was asked to take treatment with injections for 2 years, which were damn expensive way back in 2003-2004 and very painful. The treatment was successful; why ? Because I had faith that comes what may, I will get out of this and I did whilst the treatment was pretty successful.

5.) Got into 11th Grade; Commerce in a good school, but was literally ragged to the core until Grade 12th having fights and being sternly warned by the PRINCIPAL. I had a firm foot on the ground that I will pass both grades with flying colors and I DID. :)

6.) Got into a mediocre college; again was ragged, beaten; taking bruises, and hiding in the admission room bunking classes leaving me nervous, with an inferiority complex. I took all of it but gathered courage to sort this out on my own. People understood me finally, were apologetic, and realized their mistake. On the last day of college, I thanked each of them no matter what they may have done; but forgave them without any regrets, leaving them stunned!

7.) Started work in 2010, with a different set of challenges, gaining experience; failing/falling to the ground, getting right back up, and moving forward. This too, I SURVIVED.

Finally found my calling last year having started my own Ed Tech Startup, wanting to create an impact for the benefit of society and see them grow. Will continue doing the good deeds right till the end.
