Goals of the Group

Through guided discussions based on selected books, this group creates an enriching space for:

• Emotional Exploration: The books chosen delve into diverse, meaningful themes, offering new perspectives and emotional experiences often absent in mainstream narratives.
• Personal Reflection: These stories and discussions prompt introspection, encouraging participants to reflect on personal values, emotions, and life experiences, fostering growth and self-awareness.
• Catharsis: Discussions allow for the release of pent-up emotions, as participants connect with characters and stories on a deep, personal level.
• Connection and Empathy: By engaging with varied narratives, the group fosters empathy, encouraging connections with others and promoting an understanding of diverse life experiences.

Drishti Jaisingh

Drishti is a licensed Clinical Psychologist and Psychotherapist with over 8 years of experience in the mental health care sector. She provides individual and couple therapy, aiming to support people facing emotional, relational, and behavioral challenges.

Her practice combines an integrative approach, grounded in interpersonal learning theory, with evidence-based methods like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Drishti holds an MPhil in Clinical Psychology from Manipal Academy of Higher Education, with expertise in psychotherapy, counseling, diagnosis, and psychological assessment. In addition to her therapeutic work, she conducts training and peer supervision sessions for other mental health professionals.

Drishti is registered with the Rehabilitation Council of India as a Clinical Psychologist.

Through this group, Drishti uses carefully selected literature as a therapeutic tool to help participants gain new perspectives, process emotions, and reflect on their personal journeys. She guides participants through shared readings and discussions, encouraging insights and fostering a sense of connection. This approach allows individuals to explore themes relevant to their lives in a supportive, communal setting, further enhancing their emotional resilience and self-understanding.

What happens in a group session?

While the format can vary as per topic, here’s a flow that most sessions follow

Check In. Participants check-in with each others' feelings and answer the prompt given by the facilitator if any.

Conversation. Your facilitator will guide the group in a free-flowing conversation—with the goal of sharing openly, talking honestly, and deep emotional connection.

Check Out. Participants share what they're taking away from the session.

Are Group sessions done on video?

Yes, all group sessions are conducted on video via Zoom. While participants are allowed to use pseudonyms - they need to be on video to make the most of the session.

How is confidentiality maintained in Groups?

Confidentiality in Support Groups is maintained using secure meeting links and enabling waiting rooms to control participant access. Participants are bound by mutual confidentiality clause within the group. Also, sessions are not recorded without explicit consent.

What's SoulUp's refund policy for Groups?

1. After you have registered for the group and you'd like to opt out:
- Full refund if you cancel 30 days before the group start date.
- 50% refund if you cancel 16-30 days before the group start date.
- No refund if you cancel 0-15 days before the group start date.

2. If SoulUp cancels a group, we will refund the entire signup fee.

3. If SoulUp reschedules a group by more than 2 weeks, we will inform you and give you an option to opt out and get a full refund.

4. SoulUp reserves the right to remove participants from a group if found unsuitable to the group. In such cases participants are given the option of claiming the pro-rata amount left as a refund or using it for another service on SoulUp.

Can I use multiple discounts while signing up for a group?

You can use only 1 type discount while signing up for a group. Cash backs cannot be coupled with discounts either.
