My journey with lupus began in 2008 during my 12th standard with severe joint issues and misdiagnoses. In engineering, I faced swollen feet, low hemoglobin, and persistent rashes, making it hard to pursue Bharatnatyam and acting. Despite leg fractures and an arthritis diagnosis, I stayed determined.

In 2016, I secured my first acting role in Mumbai, but was soon diagnosed with lupus. Steroid treatments brought weight gain, cognitive fog, and fatigue, yet I continued working in the Marathi film industry for three years. The 2020 lockdown made me prioritise my health, adopting healthier habits and transitioning to a desk job in IT.

My journey underscores the need for awareness, early detection of autoimmune conditions, and the challenges of navigating medical insurance in India.
