I was at a point in my life where my marriage had become everything and when that marriage ended, I was lost and couldn’t even recognise the person I had become. I had given up my career, closed myself off from my friends and family and moved to another state to make the marriage work.

When I finally decided to take charge of my life, start my own company, move back home, take on new responsibilities in other organisations and reclaim my life, one day at a time, my mental health took predominance. I worked on my anxiety, depression with help from a therapist. I learnt to set boundaries with my toxic in laws, learnt to stand up for myself and walk away from the marriage, through this all, I had the most unwavering support in the form of my family and friends, I always had someone to talk to and that was one of the things that got me through the darkest times. Now when I look back, I know it only made me stronger and proud of the hurdles I overcame. I hope to be that confidant and listening ear for you.
