I am a patient of a rare autoimmune disease called Henoch Scholein purpura, a disease that causes small blood vessels in the skin, joints, intestines, and kidneys to become inflamed and bleed. This came with purpura at the age of 17 with multiple doctors and hospital visits. Later on my kidneys were involved and have now started showing signs of damage. This never disheartened me as I have accepted it. Acceptance is the key. As soon as you accept it and have a positive mindset, you start working towards the betterment of your condition and win over it.

My family has played a huge role in helping me go through this condition. With this approach, I could manage my chronic kidney disease for 17 long years until 31/01/2024 when I underwent kidney transplant surgery after 3 months on dialysis. I was lucky to have my paternal aunt by my side who became a live kidney donor for me. Transplant is the cure but is an altogether different story. Regular follow ups, healthy diet, exercise, strict medications, isolation and a lot more. But if you have positive approach towards life, I can bet that nothing in this world can let you not come out stronger of your situation.
