Had a difficult journey as a parent. Had to terminate a much wanted pregnancy at 22 weeks due to severe kidney issues discovered in the 20-week scan. For us it was a grey area diagnosis where there was a possibility of near normal life for the kid but there was no way to know before the birth.
Made the most difficult decision of our lives to terminate and there will always be a what if. The loss made me realise how fragile life is and how limited control we have for the most important things in our lives. Here open to having conversations with anyone considering TFMR or grieving a loss due to one.

Later, my second child had to undergo open-heart surgery for a congenital heart defect at 4.5 months old. Open to talking to parents who are facing similar challenges.
