I will call myself a seeker who was always seeking peace for my soul and I think all experiences of my life journey till now has helped me reach that level. I am 36 years old, single woman, not married, very comfortable with myself and all this was always perceived as something bad in the patriarchal society. Then I also switched my career from a Corporate to Government organisation to NGOs, always seeking my mental peace and self growth.
I could never see myself a part of the rat race where you are taught to operate robotically and not with emotions. I have worked with NGOs working for women empowerment, mental health, gender sensitisation, etc.
In between all this, in year 2015, I suffered from major health setback. I got TB in my lungs and I was on medication for a year. I fought with the stigma associated with this disease and it only made me stronger. I have been very curious in everything I am involved, I question everything happening around me. This curiosity lead me to all kind of off-beat choices. I am a menstrual cup user which again is very difficult for people to accept in our society since menstruation is considered a very taboo subject to talk about but I think this should be talked about without any shame.
I am also a passionate animal lover. I started volunteering with animal shelters. My community dogs have always been the part of my life. They accepted me the way I am and also gave me a life purpose. They brought me closer to my soul and to my spiritual journey. I love spending more time with the dogs, nature, moon, the stars which gives me peace. I got introduced to spiritual books last year which have given me more clarity in life. This heals me every day.
