Growing up in a small town, I didn't have the means to develop a healthy relationship with my sexuality and my mental health. Dealt with external and internalised homophobia growing up. Got panic attacks during college days. Was diagnosed with clinical depression and anxiety. This affected my relationships. I have learnt that a person cannot love someone else without loving themselves.. Happiness is a choice I make every day. Love, I have learnt, is the only reason for waking up and jumping out of bed. Learnt that healing was an active, everyday process.
