I have been dealing with Psychosis, OCD (Pure O), and CPTSD for 6 years.

Having been raised in a dysfunctional family, experiencing physical, emotional and sexual abuse made trauma a regular theme of my upbringing. Shame, fear and guilt were emotions that made me keep it all within and eventually consume substances as a form of escape.

At the age of 20, in 2018, I was diagnosed initially with Psychosis, and the diagnosis of OCD and CPTSD after. Since then, with the support of medications and therapy, I have been able to complete an undergrad and have been working for over 4 years now.

Focusing on incremental growth and being kinder to myself has helped me build a better understanding of myself and work toward becoming whole.
