After joining the Armed forces, I got my first appointment in a field unit, which was located in an isolated hard lying area with minuscule human presence and severe dearth of day-to-day amenities: very unlike the kind of life I was used to in a metro city. Hailing originally from a metro city and spending 3.5 years in such a place away from friends & family, I underwent phases of feeling lonely and left out, away from home, hardly getting a chance to travel back to family and witnessed dysfunctionality and low energy drives in doing my routine activities. My experience, from witnessing a life in isolation to finding a meaning in a life in isolation and embarking on a path of self -actualisation, is something I keep the closest to my heart.
