I had to resign from my first job as a Quality Engineer at an MNC due to politics & mental harassment. Being a mechanical engineer, it was tough to find a job in that field due to recession & Covid second wave. I was unemployed for two months until I transitioned my career into IT.
 
The stress of career choices gave me sleepless nights & developed insomnia. The shift was difficult due to the fast-paced work environment. In spite of working hard, upskilling, and being good at the job, I was rated average for two consecutive cycles which gave me imposter syndrome & the feeling that I didn't belong there. I desperately wanted to switch but the layoffs & recession in IT made it difficult. Struggled for one year until I finally cracked an offer in another MNC. Now, I have a stable career & am getting sound sleep.
