Goals of the Group


In this group for Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), facilitator will be utilizing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to equip participants with skills to manage their emotions, improve interpersonal relationships, enhance distress tolerance, and cultivate mindfulness. Through DBT, individuals learn to navigate the challenges associated with BPD in a supportive and structured environment.

The primary objective of the group is to impart DBT skills encompassing mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. These skills empower individuals to identify and understand their emotions, develop healthier coping mechanisms, and communicate effectively in relationships.

This group is for individuals who struggle with Borderline Personality Disorder and are looking for a supportive safe space to explore and understand better their psychic and emotional experience.

Kavya Kashyap

Kavya is a Trauma-Informed and Attachment-Informed Clinical Psychologist with over four years of experience, holding an MPhil in Clinical Psychology from NIMHANS. She works with individuals and couples, including adolescents and adults, offering services both online and offline. Her practice encompasses psychological assessments and a range of psychotherapeutic interventions.

Kavya provides evidence-based therapies, including:

- Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for mood and anxiety disorders
- CBT for perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (Beck Institute)
- Trauma-informed therapy, including EMDR and somatic techniques based on polyvagal theory
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Relational and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

As part of this group, Kavya helps participants build skills in emotional regulation, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness using DBT. Her structured approach fosters a supportive environment where group members learn practical tools to manage intense emotions and develop healthier relationships.

Kavya also holds a Diploma in Transactional Analysis from SAATA and is completing her advanced certification with ITAA. Additionally, she is trained in DBT (Behavioraltech), trauma-informed therapy (TRF, NICABM), and certified in Traumatic Stress Studies (TRF).

Her interests span developmental and transgenerational trauma, attachment issues, and trauma-informed care. Kavya has experience working with various conditions, such as anxiety disorders, mood disorders, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD, PTSD, grief, personality disorders, and eating disorders. She provides a personalized, research-based approach to support clients in navigating their mental health challenges and discovering their own path to healing.

- 50% refund if you cancel 16-30 days before the group start date.
- No refund if you cancel 0-15 days before the group start date.

2. If SoulUp cancels a group, we will refund the entire signup fee.
