Goals of the group

Offer a space to share your journey and listen to others’ experiences.
Provide emotional support in order to decrease the sense of isolation.
Engage with others who know the ups and downs of balancing treatments, and who can give support and suggestions.

Who is it for?

If you are trying for a baby, and feel like TTC journey has taken over your life and its difficult to share with friends/family - this is a space to process and navigate the journey better.
You might be have been trying for a few months or longer, have a diagnosis that might interfere with your fertility or are in between IUI/IVF cycles.
To keep the group homogenous, we are running it only for women right now. ​

What will we talk about?

• Exploring personal narratives and journeys around fertility
• Reflecting on past experiences and beliefs about fertility and being a parent.
• Identifying related past trauma if any (e.g., pregnancy loss)
• Exploring Connection to the Body - reflecting on the language we use when talking to our body (self-talk)
• Understanding social context: Gender stereotypes, cultural beliefs
• Navigating familial relationships and societal pressure
• Sharing the challenges and experiences of romantic partnerships through the lens of fertility journey
• Identifying tradeoffs and reassessing - eg: not putting life on hold during the journey
• Balancing other roles while being on this journey
• Identifying further resources and individual action plan: Eg: Alternatives to TTC- Adoption, ART etc

Meet your Facilitator

Dr. Pankhuri Monga

Dr. Pankhuri Monga was born in Sri Ganganagar, a town in Rajasthan. She did her M.B.B.S from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belgaum, Karnataka. She completed her M.D. in Psychiatry from Father Muller Medical College Hospital in 2021, following which she finished her DNB psychiatry and one-year senior residency at Bangalore Medical College. She was awarded a gold medal For her M.D. in psychiatry.

She now specialises in adult, child, and geriatric mental disorders after doing immense research and using new techniques. She has been doing great work to spread awareness about mental disorders.

She has a deep understanding of the emotional and psychological complexities surrounding fertility challenges. Her expertise lies in providing clear, empathetic guidance to those navigating the stress, uncertainty, and decision-making involved in fertility issues.

Being born and brought up in a humble background makes Dr. Pankhuri value her patients' recovery and wellness a lot. Most clients and patients remember her for her patience and understanding, where she values human life above everything else.

Are Group sessions done on video?

Yes, all group sessions are conducted on video via Zoom. While participants are allowed to use pseudonyms - they need to be on video to make the most of the session.

How is confidentiality maintained in Groups?

Confidentiality in Support Groups is maintained using secure meeting links and enabling waiting rooms to control participant access. Participants are bound by mutual confidentiality clause within the group. Also, sessions are not recorded without explicit consent.

What happens in a group session?

While the format can vary as per topic, here’s a flow that most sessions follow:

Check In. Participants check-in with each others' feelings and answer the prompt given by the facilitator if any.

Conversation. Your facilitator will guide the group through free-flowing conversation coupled with some simple exercises or activities —with the goal of sharing openly, connecting to your emotions and learning specific skills.

Check Out. Participants share what they're taking away from the session.

What's SoulUp's refund policy for Groups?

1. After you have registered for the group and you'd like to opt out:
- Full refund if you cancel 30 days before the group start date.
- 50% refund if you cancel 16-30 days before the group start date.
- No refund if you cancel 0-15 days before the group start date.

2. If SoulUp cancels a group, we will refund the entire signup fee.

3. If SoulUp reschedules a group by more than 2 weeks, we will inform you and give you an option to opt out and get a full refund.

4. SoulUp reserves the right to remove participants from a group if found unsuitable to the group. In such cases participants are given the option of claiming the pro-rata amount left as a refund or using it for another service on SoulUp.
