Goals of the group

The group provides a safe and confidential space for women to share their experiences and challenges. The aim is to enhance emotional well-being through guided discussions, explore self-care practices, and empower each other to navigate personal growth.

With the therapist's guidance, we seek to cultivate a supportive community that promotes resilience, self-discovery, and the development of healthy coping mechanisms tailored to the unique roles and challenges women face.

Meet your Facilitator

Komal & Shreya

Komal Kaira

Komal holds Masters and M.phil degrees in Clinical and Counseling Practices from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. Coming with 8+ years of experience post her Masters, Komal's academic prowess is complemented by her extensive clinical training in psycho-diagnostics and psychotherapy, spanning individual and group contexts. At the core of her clinical work are values deeply rooted in non-violence, equality, diversity, and social justice.
Komal is a seasoned strengths-based psychologist and psychotherapist with a passion for enhancing well-being through an integrative approach. Komal's therapeutic framework is characterized by a commitment to queer-affirmative, trauma-focused, attachment-based, and relational methodologies, tailored to meet the unique needs of her clients. .

Shreya Agarwal

Shreya is extensively trained in Clinical and Counselling Practices from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS). She comes with 8+ years of experience post her Masters in Clinical Psychology. Her therapeutic approach revolves around creating a collaborative and empowering space for her clients, fostering a sense of being heard and understood. Grounded in a multicultural perspective, she brings a profound level of empathy to her work, connecting with individuals from various backgrounds. Shreya specializes in an integrative approach that is trauma-informed and solution-focused, with a keen emphasis on the mind-body connection. In her practice, she addresses a spectrum of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, interpersonal issues, and parenting challenges. Whether in individual or group sessions, Shreya is committed to guiding her clients through their unique journeys, offering support and insights for positive change.

Both Komal and Shreya have been using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to help individuals understand and manage their anxiety in a group setting. Their expertise lies in equipping participants with practical tools to identify, challenge, and reframe anxious thoughts, fostering resilience and coping skills.

What happens in a group session?

While the format can vary as per topic, here’s a flow that most sessions follow

Check In. Participants check-in with each others' feelings and answer the prompt given by the facilitator if any.

Conversation. Your facilitator will guide the group in a free-flowing conversation—with the goal of sharing openly, talking honestly, and deep emotional connection.

Check Out. Participants share what they're taking away from the session.

How long has soulup been around?

SoulUp was founded in Feb 2022 by Punita Mittal and Mahak Maheshwari - a team of IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay with more than 20 years of combined healthcare experience. SoulUp is redefining mental health through groups that are effective, but also fun, social, and challenging.

What's SoulUp's refund policy for Groups?

1. After you have registered for the group and you'd like to opt out:
- Full refund if you cancel 30 days before the group start date.
- 50% refund if you cancel 16-30 days before the group start date.
- No refund if you cancel 0-15 days before the group start date.

2. If SoulUp cancels a group, we will refund the entire signup fee.

3. If SoulUp reschedules a group by more than 2 weeks, we will inform you and give you an option to opt out and get a full refund.
